A word from the President

Dear members, It is with great pride and emotion that I assume the presidency of Buckingham Golf Club. It's also a great honour for me to be the first woman to hold this position in our club's history. I would like to thank our shareholders for their confidence. Our club has a rich tradition and a strong sense of belonging. My commitment is to pursue its development with rigor, transparency and a vision for the future. Over the coming season, our priorities will be clear and structured. We will work to fill vacant positions to ensure the stability and efficiency of our operations. We will also tighten our internal controls to ensure the club's financial health and responsible management of our resources. The quality of our terrain remains at the heart of our concerns. We will ensure that our water reserves are sufficient and undertake improvements to our irrigation system to cover a larger area and protect the quality of play over the long term. On the pavilion side, a number of works are planned: a major clean-up of storage areas, repairs to the terrace support, caulking to prevent water infiltration, and refurbishment of the men's lounge. On the social front, we'd like to revamp the formula for the opening and closing tournaments to make them two major festive gatherings that bring together members and guests in a convivial, unifying spirit. Finally, we will explore the implementation of an effective communication mechanism at Hole #1 to improve the transmission of important information: tee times, course conditions regarding cart traffic, construction notices and other essential messages. I'm convinced that, thanks to everyone's involvement, we'll continue to develop our club while preserving what makes it strong: its community.
